iRest A306: the warranty follows the seller

This chair sells on a strong specification sheet, and almost none of that sheet comes from iRest. Searching for a manufacturer warranty produced nothing at all: no instrument on any iRest domain, no warranty section in the manual that ships with the chair, and no reachable iRest company in the United States. What a buyer gets depends on which storefront they bought from.

The name A306 covers several configurations, and the chair continues under two other brand badges. Parts sellers treat the configuration suffixes as non-interchangeable, so check the label before ordering anything for it.

Nobody at the brand is home

We tried eight iRest domains that search results and old listings point at. Six do not resolve. One is a parked lander. One is listed for sale. No iRest-controlled property serves a US parts catalogue, a part-number index, a service portal or a technician locator, and the manual carries no service contact of any kind.

That manual is otherwise a credible document. It has a real specification table, a full FCC statement, safety and maintenance sections and a component index. What it does not have is a warranty. Its contents run safety, components, function, usage method and legal notices, and stop there. Nothing in the box tells an owner what is covered or for how long.

The most detailed US warranty naming this chair by model is issued by a dealer. It enumerates covered models the way a retailer schedule does rather than deriving from the manufacturer, and it is that dealer’s promise rather than iRest’s.

What the dealer instrument grants, and where it argues with itself

Three years, with parts and labour in year one and parts alone after that. In-home service exists only in year one, applies only if the seller decides in-home repair is required, and comes through a third-party provider. Coverage is non-transferable, void for commercial use, void on purchases from unauthorized dealers, and freight is not free to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

Now the contradictions. Every product page on that seller’s store carries a badge promising five years, with two years of parts and labour and three of parts. Its warranty policy grants something shorter. A Warranty FAQ sitting directly beneath the paid extension’s terms promises full parts and labour on any authorized claim, four lines under terms that exclude labour. The seller’s second storefront describes year one differently again.

The one-year labour, three-year parts and five-year frame breakdown that circulates for this chair appears in no document we could open. Every third-party review that states a term at all states a bare three years and nothing more.

The specification sheet is a retail artefact

iRest publishes no user height limit and no weight capacity for this chair. It also publishes no dimensions upright or reclined, no chair weight, no shipping weight, no airbag count and no track length. Airbags are described functionally in the manual, as three modes and three intensities, and never counted.

Every number in circulation therefore comes from retail. That does not make any of it wrong, and it means none of it can be checked against the manufacturer. Two editorial reviews give incompatible fit limits, and one of those reviews shipped with literal placeholder text where its specifications should have been, which is a fair measure of how carefully the figures were assembled.

One conflict does sit inside the maker’s own material. The manual’s specification table gives rated power as 120 W and the one reachable iRest brand storefront gives 150 W. Small in practice, and useful as a signal that the two maker surfaces are not synchronised.

What the chair does

The manual documents seventeen voice commands, two separate zero-gravity keys plus an automatic lying key with three positions, a rated session of 20 minutes, and back heat delivered by carbon fibre as a far-infrared source with no temperature value published and no seat or leg heat zone. Airbag work runs in three modes covering body, arm and leg pressure at three intensities.

Documentation slips show up here too. The Function section and the startup section both name the second program one way while the auto-program button table labels the same button another, so one of the five presets carries two names in one document.

Every spec we checked

Five claims did not survive the documents. Four of the five resolve to an absence at the manufacturer rather than to a competing number.

Known issues

  • Documented issue

There is no manufacturer presence in the United States to claim against.

Six iRest US domains do not resolve, one is a parked lander and one is listed for sale. No iRest-controlled property serves a parts catalogue, a part-number index, a service portal or a technician locator for the US, and the manual carries no service contact of any kind.

  • Documented issue

The chair’s own manual contains no warranty.

The operation instructions run safety and maintenance, safety warning, component names, function, usage method and legal notices. Nothing in the box states any coverage term, so a buyer has to find the terms on whichever website sold them the chair.

  • Documented issue

The dealer instrument that does name this model contradicts itself and the seller’s own badge.

Its warranty policy sets one set of terms while every product page on the same store carries a badge promising a longer and better one. A Warranty FAQ directly beneath the extended-plan terms promises full parts and labour on any authorized claim, against terms four lines above that exclude labour. The seller’s second storefront describes year one differently again.

  • Documented issue

In-home service lasts one year and is conditional even then.

It applies only if the company decides in-home repair is required, and it is delivered by a third-party provider. From year two the model is parts-only. Coverage is non-transferable, void for commercial use, void on purchases from unauthorized dealers, and freight is not free to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

  • Recurring owner complaint

Owners report the chair arrives with no assembly instructions.

One owner states the box contained none and asked publicly how to attach the feet; two more asked for footrest and calf-rest assembly help on the same video. Documentation is the most repeated grievance across the owner accounts we located.

  • Recurring owner complaint

The chair must be partially disassembled to pass through a normal doorway.

Two owners independently document the procedure and both report it is workable: unzip the front leather layers, remove three screws, and pass the sections through separately. Worth planning for rather than discovering on delivery day.

  • Isolated report

Isolated reports of early failure and of weak rollers.

One owner reports the chair stopping after 24 hours with a displayed fault code, posted as a question that drew no reply. A second, who filmed a three-part review series, later wrote in his own comment thread that he returned the chair because the rollers were weak. Two accounts are not a pattern, and both are first-person rather than second-hand.

What owners report

Eleven reports, which is thin for a chair at this money, and the thinness is genuine on the platforms we could read rather than a search failure. Ten come from video owner accounts and their comment threads, and one from a dealer’s own site. A complete enumeration of three relevant forums produced four matches, all by one author, none about this chair.

Assembly documentation is the most repeated grievance. One owner reports the box arriving with no instructions at all and asks publicly how to attach the feet, and two more ask for help with the footrest and calf rest on the same video. Two owners separately work out that the chair must be partially disassembled to clear a normal doorway, and both describe the procedure as workable.

Two accounts run against the chair. One owner reports it stopping after 24 hours with a displayed fault code, in a question that drew no reply from anyone. Another, who filmed a three-part review series, later wrote in his own comment thread that he returned it because the rollers were weak. We record both as isolated rather than as a pattern.

Two cautions on the rest of what is out there. Most video content for this chair is affiliate material rather than ownership: of thirty videos we opened, at least eighteen carry descriptions that are listing copy or written first-person copy with an affiliate link as the only comment, including one titled as a two-year ownership account that contains no such account. Separately, several large retail review pools were blocked or out of scope on the day we checked, so the true owner population is unknowable from this pass.

How it grades out

WarrantyPoorNo manufacturer instrument exists for the US market and none ships in the box. What you get is whatever the selling dealer writes, and the most detailed dealer version contradicts its own storefront badge.
ServiceabilityPoorNo iRest US entity, no service portal, no technician locator and no service contact in the manual. In-home repair, where it exists at all, runs one year through a dealer and only at the dealer’s discretion.
Parts availabilityFairDocumented rather than assumed, which is more than most in this bracket manage: two independent third parties list genuine A306 parts, including a remote and an armrest panel. Both are non-returnable and configuration-specific, and no catalogue exists.
Fit rangePoorThe manufacturer publishes no height limit and no weight capacity, and the two secondary figures in circulation disagree with each other.
Build confidenceFairThe manual is a real engineering document with a full specification table and an FCC statement, which is better than several rivals manage. Set against that, two maker surfaces disagree on rated power and the brand has no US footprint.
Ease of useFairSeventeen documented voice commands, two zero-gravity keys plus three automatic lying positions, and a 20-minute rated session. The manual labels the same program two different ways on two pages, and owners report the box arriving without assembly instructions.

Massage quality, pressure control and noise are ungraded. Eleven owner reports, mostly about delivery and assembly, cannot carry a quality grade, and the manufacturer publishes no roller depth mechanism to assess.

No maker warranty we could find, anywhere

The A306 sells on a strong specification sheet and we could not locate a single iRest-issued warranty instrument for the US market: not on any iRest domain, not in the product's own manual, which contains no warranty section at all. There is no reachable manufacturer-owned US property for it. The most detailed warranty naming the A306 by model is issued by a dealer rather than by iRest. Buy it only with the selling dealer's own warranty in writing, and understand that is what you are relying on.

Availability checked August 20, 2026. This button runs a search rather than a verified listing, so confirm what the seller warrants before you order.

A306 questions, answered once

Who honours the warranty on an iRest A306?

Whichever dealer sold it to you. We could not locate an iRest-issued warranty instrument for the US market on any iRest domain, and the chair’s own manual carries no warranty section. Every US coverage promise we found is written by a seller, so read that seller’s terms and treat them as the whole of your protection.

How much weight can the iRest A306 support?

The manufacturer does not say. The manual publishes no weight capacity and no height limit, and the one reachable brand storefront publishes neither. Two editorial reviews give incompatible figures with no maker document behind either, and one of them shipped with placeholder text where its specifications should have been.

Can the iRest A306 fit through a normal doorway?

Not assembled, but two owners independently document that partial disassembly works: unzip the front leather layers, remove three screws, and pass the sections through separately. Plan for it rather than discovering it on delivery day.

Is the iRest A306 the same chair as the A306 Pro?

No, and the name covers several configurations besides. The maker designates it SL-A306 with regional suffixes, and parts sellers treat those suffixes as non-interchangeable, describing one remote as fitting a single configuration exclusively. The chair also continues under two other brand badges, so pooled specs and owner reports often describe different machines.

Update history
  • August 20, 2026 Migrated to the v1.1 evidence protocol with the v1.3 reader-first layer. Establishes that no iRest-issued US warranty instrument exists for this chair, that the manual contains no warranty section, and that every US coverage promise we found is a seller’s. Withdraws the fit figures in circulation, which come from secondary reviews that disagree with each other and have no maker document behind them, and records that the manufacturer publishes no dimensions, weight, airbag count or track length either.
